I’ve always loved make-up. Sometimes I wear it every day, some years I don’t wear it at all. I don’t usually wear foundation and concealer or contour. However, I have done the work to find which products work and look best for me. If you have a similar undertone and skin type, these products might work well for you too.
I have olive brown skin that varies between neutral and cool undertones, that often comes closest to the tan color family of foundations. Depending on the time of the year I have to mix both undertones to get the right foundation color. I have textured, oily in the t-zone skin. My skin is prone to hyperpigmentation and at times dry around the cheeks. I don’t like to feel my make-up and I like for it to last without much need for a touch up when I do use it. Below are my tried and true favorites.
Face – Foundation, Concealer, Blush, Base, etc.
Eyes – Eyeshadow, Eyebrows, Mascara, etc.
I’ve always had sparse brows with barely any tail to my eyebrow, so I’ve been filling them in since I was 14. I finally found the best process for my oily skin. For a while I was using setting powder to keep my eyebrow pencil from becoming shiny, until I discovered using Shadowbox’s eyeshadow primer to set my brows before applying Anastasia’s Brow Wiz pencil. I always try the most affordable products before I try the pricier items. In this case the pricier items won when it came to application, endurance and the color and finish of these products.
